Stella Kaufman has been teaching at the AGSA for 15 years. She was born and educated in England receiving her PGCE from the University of London and BFA from Exeter College of Art. Kaufman has lived in Cyprus, Canada, and Uruguay. She currently lives in Edmonton but spends each Winter at her studio in La Paloma, Uruguay. Nature is a huge influence in her Art, and she’s inspired by the flora and fauna in both Alberta and the Atlantic coast of Uruguay. Kaufman’s work is often mixed-media and incorporates drawing, watercolour, collage, and found objects.
