Karen Blanchet gained her artistic foundation at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney, Australia. Having acquired a teaching certificate from the University of Saskatchewan, she taught and continued to explore different media on various surfaces. Now living in Edmonton, she opened Inspirations, a gallery/studio, in her back yard in 2014. A founding member of Devenir, she helped organize the collective in 2016 and the group DDK in 2019. Her deep concern for our planet shows up in her unique style which displays beauty amid the chaos of creation. Her work can be found in collections across Canada, in the U.S. and Europe.
