Needle Felted Alberta Landscape (In-School)

Grade(s): 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12

Location: In-School

Duration: 1.5 Hours

Teacher Provides: Band-Aids

Volunteers: 2–4 recommended

Booking Requirements: School must book two programs on one day with a lunch break in-between. If booking three programs in a day, school must provide a room that classes can rotate through for the full day. Please note that if requirements cannot be met, in-school programs may not be possible for your school.

Needle felting is a process in which wool fibres are locked together using a special felting needle. Felting needles have angled barbs along their length that grab and bind fibres together. Students will learn the basic theory of two-dimensional needle felting to create a lovely wool landscape inspired by Alberta.
