A treaty is a relationship between two nations. Treaty 6 covers central Alberta and Saskatchewan and everyone who lives in this area, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, are responsible for maintaining this relationship. We are all Treaty People.

For many Canadians unfamiliar with Treaty history, it can be difficult to know where to start. In this seven-week course, participants will dive into what Treaty means to them through craft and meaningful conversation. Each week a different aspect of Treaty 6 will be discussed, and participants will use the suggested needlework patterns as a jumping off point to stitch their own design in response to the topic. This course will be a safe space to ask questions as you undertake your own reconciliation journey.
